General Assembly

FIL to host third General Assembly

(WILMINGTON, DE) The third Federation of International Lacrosse General Assembly will take place June 18 and 19 in the Park Plaza Hotel in Amsterdam. This year’s meeting will conclude the day before the Opening Ceremonies of the European Championship. One delegate and an observer from each member nation will be in attendance to hear reports of FIL activities and development, and to vote on various documents.
The FIL Board has been working diligently to update and create new documents that will be the governing outline of the organization.
For the first time, a proposal for unified field markings to include both the men’s and women’s lines will be presented. The Women’s Competition Committee has completely re-formatted and updated their event Bylaws. Also both the men and women are recommending several rules changes.
Always a highlight of this meeting is the presentations of future FIL World events by the host country. These presentations will have everyone in attendance dreaming of the future of lacrosse.
All documents that have been sent to member countries are included below. Please feel free to review these documents and comment to your countries lacrosse organization. Let your thoughts be heard!
