World Lacrosse Grant Programs

World Lacrosse is committed to supporting our members and emerging member nations in their efforts to grow the game around the world. World Lacrosse currently offers four different grants that serve this purpose. All of these grants and a brief description of each are listed below along with their extensive Grant Program Details which include eligibility criteria and the application process and example templates. Applicants should review all of the files and resources available on this page to guide their application process. World Lacrosse will regularly announce open application periods and deadlines to emerging and full members.

Continental Federation and National Governing Body Development Grants

Application window(s): Nov 2 – Nov 22

CFs and NGBs are eligible to receive grant funding to undertake grassroots development projects or activities that further the education of coaches or officials, support organizational development, or create measurable programs designed to recruit, train, and retain athletes.

Emerging Member Support Grants

Application window(s): Rolling

World Lacrosse encourages organizations that are actively seeking to establish their country as a member of World Lacrosse to apply for the Emerging Member Support Grants. Organizations with a unified group of leaders and a detailed development strategy are eligible to receive resources and organizational support from World Lacrosse. Recipient organizations should be working towards becoming a recognized NGB.

BCH Youth Development Grants

Application windows: September 1 to October 31 of year prior to desired delivery date.

The BCH Youth Development Program, named for long time World Lacrosse leaders, Ron Balls, Stan Cockerton, and Tom Hayes, offer support for programs that have an emphasis on recruiting, training, and retaining participants between 4 and 16 years of age. Applicants can request support starting programs, obtaining equipment, educational clinics, and a variety of other areas.  Apply here

Instructional Clinic Grants

Application window(s): Rolling

WL offers clinic support for players, coaches, and officials of all ages, genders, and skill levels. WL can provide funding and guidance for NGBs hosting their own clinics as well as hands-on support from experienced facilitators. Apply here
