World Lacrosse is committed to supporting its members and emerging member nations in their efforts to grow the game around the world, and currently offers four grant programs that serve that purpose. Continental and National Federation Development Grants

Current Application Window: November 1 – 30, 2022

CFs and NFs are eligible to receive grant funding to undertake grassroots development projects or activities that further the education of coaches or officials, support organizational development, or create measurable programs designed to recruit, train and retain athletes.

Emerging Member Support Grants

Application window: Rolling

World Lacrosse encourages organizations that are actively seeking to establish their country as a member of World Lacrosse to apply for these grants. Organizations with a unified group of leaders and a detailed development strategy are eligible to receive resources and organizational support from World Lacrosse. Recipient organizations should be working toward becoming a recognized National Federation.

BCH Youth Development Grants

Application window: September/October 

The BCH Youth Development Grants – named for long time World Lacrosse leaders Ron Balls, Stan Cockerton and Tom Hayes – offer support for programs that have an emphasis on recruiting, training and retaining participants between 4 and 16 years of age. Applicants can request support for starting programs, obtaining equipment, educational clinics and a variety of other areas.

Instructional Clinic Grants

Application window: Rolling

World Lacrosse offers clinic support for players, coaches and officials of all ages, genders and skill levels. WL can provide funding and guidance for members hosting their own clinics, as well as hands-on support from experienced facilitators.
