Uganda Women’s U19 Team Will Not Compete In 2019 World Lacrosse Women’s U19 World Championship

It is with disappointment that World Lacrosse is announcing today the Uganda Women’s U19 Team will not compete in the 2019 World Lacrosse Women’s U19 World Championship in Peterborough, Ontario.  Despite numerous extensions to the tournament registration deadline, the Uganda Lacrosse Association has been unable to secure the necessary funding for the team’s travel to Canada.
World Lacrosse has notified the event organizers and the competition schedule for the tournament has been revised.
World Lacrosse recognizes and appreciates the efforts that were made to secure funding for the team’s travel to Canada.  Nevertheless, we are disappointed to learn these athletes will not have the opportunity to participate in this World Championship event.

The 2019 World Lacrosse Women’s U19 World Championship will take place 1-10 August in Peterborough, Canada, with 22 National Teams competing.
