VENUES
The Utica University Nexus Center – which opened in November 2022 – will serve as the main tournament hub, featuring three playing surfaces within the state-of-the-art, 169,440-square-foot facility. Its world-class facilities and hospitality amenities will cater to athletes, spectators and sponsors. The center is located in the heart of downtown Utica, making it easily accessible to transport and accommodation options. The venue is uniquely hosting the International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship just five months prior to the box championships.
The Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium (known as the ‘Aud’) is a 3,956-seat multi-purpose arena and home of the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League and Utica City FC of the Major Arena Soccer League. The Adirondack Bank Center and the Nexus Center are connected via skyway.
As part of a partnership with Turning Stone Resort Casino, the Mary C. Winder Community Center – Oneida Indian Nation’s new 90,000-square-foot community center – will host four games of the championships on September 24. Named after Oneida Indian Nation member and Native American activist Mary C. Winder, the Community Center features a gym, pool, gallery, library and a state-of-the-art fieldhouse that will be utilized for the world championship.
