Germany and Great Britain on impress on opening day of Super Sixes – Hong Kong, China

The first day of action at Super Sixes – Hong Kong, China featured 13 teams in action across the men’s and women’s competition on Friday.

Germany and Great Britain went 2-0 in both the men’s and women’s competition.

The Philippines and China each won a game in the men’s competition and the Philippines and the Czech Republic each won a game in the women’s competition.

Germany’s 18-16 win over the Czech Repbulic in the final game of action in the women’s division was a highlight of the day.

The men’s slate featured a trio of one-goal thrillers, first as Germany edged China 20-19 in the opening game, and then when the Philippines defeated the hosts Hong Kong, China in an 18-17 win. China rebounded later in the day with a 16-15 win over the FogoJapan squad.
