World Lacrosse Welcomes Kim Rogers as Director of Events

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

May 17, 2021

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO, USA — A highly-respected event management
professional with more than 12 years of experience working in lacrosse is joining World
Lacrosse as Director of Events. Kim Rogers will oversee the planning and delivery of
World Championship events and other events conducted by World Lacrosse (WL),
working closely with Competition Director Fiona Clark, the Organizing Committees for
various WL World Championships and WL member-National Governing Bodies and
Continental Federations.

Rogers will also work with Chief Executive Officer Jim Scherr and Clark in managing
the new process by which World Lacrosse championship properties are bid for and
awarded, introduced earlier this year.

Rogers’ appointment was announced today by World Lacrosse, the international
federation for men’s and women’s lacrosse. Presently, World Lacrosse conducts five
World Championships: Women’s Senior, Men’s Senior, Women’s U20, Men’s U20 and
Men’s Box. World Lacrosse will soon be adding two more World Championships for the
new 6 v 6 disciplines (women’s and men’s).

Rogers joins World Lacrosse from USA Lacrosse, where she has served as Director of
Special Events since 2015 and has been a member of the Event Operations Team since
2008. Rogers has overseen the successful partnerships with event operators,
producing more than 100 sanctioned national events, along with the direction of USA
Lacrosse signature properties such as the LaxCon National Convention and the
National Lacrosse Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.

For the 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse (now World Lacrosse) Men’s World
Championship and Festivals in Denver, Colorado, USA, Rogers co-managed the event
and had primary responsibility for game day and venue operations.

She has been integrally involved in the planning for the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s
World Championship in Towson, Maryland, USA, and the transition to her new role with
World Lacrosse will ensure seamless delivery of the World Championship.
“We are exceptionally pleased to welcome Kim Rogers to our team at World Lacrosse,”
said Scherr. “Kim has earned the respect of leaders throughout the lacrosse community
for her professionalism, talent and expertise. One of our primary objectives as an
international federation is to continue raising the standard of planning and delivery for
our World Championship properties and we are confident Kim’s leadership will help us
achieve this important objective.”

“I am honored to join World Lacrosse and contribute to the fulfillment of its mission
through the delivery of events that serve as the pinnacle of international competition by
allowing athletes to showcase their talent and inspire young people to play this great
game,” said Rogers.

Rogers will begin her new role with World Lacrosse on June 14, 2021.
