With the win, Puerto Rico took the top spot in Pool E and claimed the fifth overall seed, the highest of any Pool winner from B through E.
Puerto Rico will face the 12th seeded Netherlands in the play-in round on Wednesday, and hope to advance to a quarterfinal against the fourth-seeded Haudenosaunee on Thursday.
Chinese Taipei finished third in the pool and will take on China in placement play towards 13th place on Wednesday at 7:10 p.m.
