COLORADO SPRINGS, COLORADO, USA — World Lacrosse announced today a partnership with BelievePerform, the world’s leading source of performance psychology, wellbeing and mental health content for the sport community, to provide tools and resources for lacrosse athletes, coaches and administrators around the world.
The BelievePerform mission is to increase the awareness of sport and exercise psychology, with a passion for wellbeing and a range of online content designed to inform, inspire, educate and elevate the importance of mental health.
The World Lacrosse and BelievePerform partnership will provide resources and support for member-National Governing Bodies in four specific areas:
• Mental Fitness Training Plans: Training plans are short, applied and practical packs which include video PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, infographics, PDF booklets and audio files. They focus on helping athletes, coaches and staff learn how to use positive mental health habits to improve sport performance and mental health.
• World Lacrosse Mental Health Videos: Specific to World Lacrosse, these videos focus on practical ways coaches and athletes can integrate psychological skills to thrive on and off the lacrosse field.
• Mental Health Infographics: Access for NGBs to a wide range of infographics focused around all areas of sport psychology, physical health and mental health.
• Mental Fitness Online Courses: Educational online courses developed to provide World Lacrosse with a theoretical underpinning of sport psychology and mental health. Courses are over two hours in length and include video PowerPoint presentations, worksheets, infographics, PDF booklets and audio files. Courses will provide the World Lacrosse community with the knowledge and understanding of how to use practical skills to improve performance.
“Mental health is a critical topic that needs to be addressed.
