The United States finished pool play with a 34-2 win over Israel at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship in Hong Kong, China.
The United States completed an impressive 4-0 campaign with dominant wins against China, Germany, Israel and Puerto Rico to top Pool A and claim a spot in the playoffs, which start on Wednesday.
World Lacrosse’s tiebreakers for overall seeding goes to goals conceded after record and goal differential, and Canada allowed six goals over four games compared to seven for the United States.
Thus, the United States enters the quarterfinals as the No. 2 overall seed, and a with a win in the quarterfinals, would face the winner of the third and sixth seeds’ matchup. Canada takes the first overall seed and Australia takes the third overall seed.

The United States will face Puerto Rico in the quarterfinals on Wednesday at 11 a.m. HKT.
As for the action at the Hong Kong Football Club Stadium, the United States understood the stakes of the seeding scenarios, but were nothing short of comprehensive in the win, again.
Maddie Epke was named the player of the match with another strong showing on draws, winning 29 of 36.
Madison Alaimo led the point totals with four goals and five assists. Madison Taylor and Emma Muchnick each posted five goals and one assists and Emma LoPinto notched two goals and four assists.
Tori Bates and Eden Chajmovic combined for seven saves for Israel.
Racheli Levy-Smith scored Israel’s first goal on a free position shot and Sarah Marcovici scored the second.
Israel returns to play on Wednesday in placement action at 2 p.m. against Hong Kong, China.
