The Haudenosaunee defeat Korea 19-8 for first win in Pool B

The Haudenosaunee picked up their first win in Hong Kong over Korea, 19-8, in Pool B action.

Korea kept pace in the first two quarters, trailing by two after the first and three at halftime, but a 5-1 third quarter for the Haudenosaunee put the game out of reach.

Wynter Jock was named the player of the game and finished with a goal and three assists. Mia Mitchell added three goals.

Lauren Park was impressive again at the helm of Korea’s attack with five goals.

The Haudenosaunee will face Canada tomorrow at 8 p.m. HKT in a blockbuster matchup in Pool B, with the Canadians in action later today. Korea has a day off and will face Wales on Sunday at 2 p.m.
