The headlining game of the day is the United States matchup against the Haudenosaunee in the men’s box championship in primetime. The U.S. got the better of the Haudenosaunee in the teams’ first meeting at the start of the championship, but the stakes are raised with medal implications on the line.
The Canada men will try to replicate their success from pool play against England to advance to another gold medal match.
In the women’s championships, Canada and the United States will try to take care of the Haudenosaunee and Australia to set up a rivalry gold medal game.
In men’s placement play, the slate continues to get more competitive as teams drift towards their final positions, and Friday’s action is full of exciting meetings. The best games will likely feature teams that have bowed out of the playoff picture in recent days, like Australia vs. Finland, Czechia vs. Japan, Netherlands vs. Germany and Israel vs. Ireland.
In women’s placement, the four quarterfinal losers from yesterday will look to bounce back in evenly matched games: England vs. Ireland and Germany vs. the Netherlands.
