Member Spotlight: Luxembourg

Twice a month, World Lacrosse will be spotlighting its member nations and highlighting their efforts to grow the sport around the world. World Lacrosse currently has 91 members across four continental federations.

Luxembourg Lacrosse became the 59th member of World Lacrosse in 2017.

The men’s team competed at the 2018 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in Israel. Luxembourg has competed in national team tournaments in the Czech Republic in 2019 and in Poland in 2021.

The Blacksmiths and Black Lynx Clubs in Luxembourg participate in the Belgian League.

Additionally, the club offers weekly lacrosse training for all levels and introductory courses as well. Luxembourg Lacrosse has worked with numerous schools in the region to incorporate lacrosse as part of the physical education curriculum and provide young players competitive opportunities.

The men’s national team is currently preparing for the 2024 EuroLax Sixes Cup in Portugal, and the club’s men’s and women’s teams will also take part in the Berlin Open and the Klax Cup Kaiserslautern in July 2024.
