FIL Seeking Administrative Assistant

The Federation of International Lacrosse is seeking a part time administrative assistant to handle a number of duties.The position reports to the FIL President. The job description and application process details are below:

Position title: FIL Administrative Assistant (part time)
Reports to: President of FIL
General description
The FIL is looking for part time assistance to provide support to the Board, especially in the areas of meeting management, membership management, document management and Anti-Doping procedures.
Specific Duties include

FIL Meeting management – distribution of notices, reports for Board, Committee and General Assembly meetings
Coordination of meeting locations, including venue booking, accommodation
Preparation of press releases and presentations for meetings/conferences
Manage Membership including all aspects of membership data
WADA –Administer ADAMS database and various documents. Monitor Registered Testing Pool
Information Technology skills including use of Microsoft Office suite and understanding of internet and social media (facebook, twitter etc)
Review of Member / Coaches / Lax web sites
Maintain Meeting and Events calendar
Manage on-line registration of Competitors

Minimum Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook (or equivalent email application) and Skype
Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong organization skills
Outstanding knowledge and experience in sport –preferably lacrosse
Ability to travel to FIL meetings as well as participate in online meetings
Internet access including e-mail and Skype

General Information
The successful candidate will be expected to work from their home or remotely from their office using existing communication resources and tools. General expenses will be reimbursed as well as travel/lodging to FIL meetings
Salary
The successful candidate is expected to average 20 hours a week, depending on upcoming events and meetings. The candidate will be hired as an independent contractor and paid monthly. The salary is to be commensurate with experiences and not to exceed $10 K annually.
