England Finalizes 23-Man Roster for Championship

(from press release) Team England Head Coach Matthew Bagley and his staff have selected the 23-man team that will compete for England in this summer’s 2014 Federation of International Lacrosse World Championship in Denver, Colorado.
The England National team features players from the eight different English clubs, including a number of returning players from the 2010 World Championships and the 2012 European Championships, where England won the gold medal.
This year’s team will consist of both experience and youth. Team England will travel to Colorado on July 3rd to begin their final training camp before the tournament begins on July 11th with their opening game against the Iroquois Nationals.
Team England will be holding an open Training Session and Scrimmage Game as part on the Manchester Challenge which will take place next weekend (Sunday 8th June) at the University of Manchester Armitage Centre. The Mayor of Manchester will be attending the event to meet the team and wish the best of luck in Denver. Manchester and Lacrosse share a special relationship hosting the 2010 World Championships and welcoming the Lacrosse World back in 2018.
