Keiji Victor Ishii dominated on face-offs to help Japan defeat Germany, going 11-14, while also picking up eight ground balls. His 46 face-offs won ranks third in the championship. 

Khairi Sears led Jamaica’s offensive effort with three goals as it stunned Italy, 7-6, in an upset as the 10th seed in the first round of the playoffs. 

Connor McDonough helped Australia finish off the Netherlands in an 18-7 win. He recorded one goal and four assists, with four of his points coming on Australia’s 6-0 third quarter run. 

Austin Staats was a points machine for the Haudenosaunee yet again in their 13-3 win over Hong Kong, China, tallying four goals and three assists. His 24 points through four games are the second most among athletes in San Diego. 

Andrew Morris delivered another gem in goal for Israel in a 6-5 win over Ireland, making nine saves to slow down an offense ranked in the top five heading into the game.
