David Ryan has spent the entirety of his professional career working in international finance, and joined the World Lacrosse board of directors in 2018.
After graduating from Yale, Ryan spent 22 years at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he served in various roles in New York for 13 years before spending his final nine years in Asia, where he ultimately served as president of Goldman Sachs Asia and sat on the firm’s Management Committee.
Ryan currently sits on the board of Affiliated Managers Group, Mapletree Investments and Tiga Acquisition Corp.; chairs the board of Mapletree Oakwood Holdings; and serves as a non-executive director of ADT Security Services. He is also a member of the board for the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University, as well as a member of the Yale Development Council.
In addition to his board roles, Ryan remains a senior director of Goldman Sachs and serves as a corporate advisor to Temasek Holdings.
A native of Manlius, New York, Ryan played lacrosse collegiately at Yale University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree and was a member of two NCAA tournament teams, including the 1990 Final Four team. He earned All-America and Academic All-America honors while at Yale, and remains close to the program, serving on the alumni board.
