All eight teams at the women’s sixes lacrosse competition at The World Games 2025 open action on Thursday, August 7 in Chengdu, China, with the four-game slate set to kick off at 9 a.m. local time.

In the tournament opener, the United States opens its medal chase against an upstart Ireland team with a revamped squad full of international stars, headlined by Charlotte North, Shea Dolce and Ally Mastroianni.
Then, Canada begins its title defense in an intriguing litmus test for Japan, one of the fastest developing women’s programs in the world. Eight players return from Canada’s gold medal winning squad in 2022.
The third contest of the day features two experienced teams, with Czechia fielding a familiar squad of sixes stars against an Australia team returning six players from its team that claimed bronze at The World Games 2022.
In the day one finale, the host China will make an exciting debut at The World Games in front of an eager crowd in Chengdu against Great Britain. China will look to surprise against the other top-four finisher from 2022.
