Canada and the United States both won their semifinals on Thursday at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship.
They will meet in the gold medal match on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. HKT for the third edition of the championship in a row.
Japan and Australia will face off for the bronze medal at 3:30 p.m. HKT on Saturday.

Twelve teams finish their campaigns in placement play at the Nissin Foods 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship in Tokyo on Saturday.
The semifinal matchups are set for the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship in Hong Kong, China.
Australia will take on the United States in the first semifinal on Friday at Mong Kok Stadium at 4 p.m. HKT followed by a matchup between Canada and Japan at 7 p.m. on the same field.
The United States will be aiming for its eighth consecutive appearance in the gold medal match while Australia will be looking to return to the final for the first time since 2011. Australia and the United States have met in the gold medal match in this championship five times, with Australia winning the inaugural championship in 1995 and the USA claiming golds in 1999, 2003, 2007 and 2011.
Canada has advanced to the gold medal match in the last two editions of the championship, winning in 2015 and coming in second place in 2015. Japan has advanced to the semifinal round for the first time in its eight appearances in the event, and Japan has never claimed a medal at any World Lacrosse championship.
The four losing quarterfinalists will resume action tomorrow against each other in compelling placement matches. Germany, Korea, Jamaica and Scotland will all return to action as well.
