Pool play concluded on day five at the 2025 European Men’s Lacrosse Championship with England, Germany, Ireland, Israel, and Italy finishing undefeated.
The play-in round begins on Tuesday with seeds five through twelve facing off for four spots in the quarterfinals.
In addition to the five pool winners, five second place teams all advanced to the play-in round: Czechia, France, Latvia, Switzerland and Wales. Two third place teams snagged the last two spots in Scotland and Poland.
Portugal shocked Switzerland for its first win of the championship, with teams advancing to the next stage of the tournament taking care of business elsewhere.
The top seven teams in the final standings of the tournament will qualify for the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in Japan.
Four spots will be awarded to the quarterfinal winners on Wednesday. Two more will be awarded on Thursday in placement play towards fifth place, and the last spot will be awarded in the seventh place game on Saturday.
