The next phase of the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship is nearly set after four days of pool play, with six out of the eight play-in teams set.
Japan, England, Puerto Rico and Ireland all have now claimed the top spot in their pools, with England and Ireland pulling away from stiff challenges from Korea and Mexico on Monday.
Mexico and the Netherlands are set as second place teams, with the Netherlands securing a must-win game against Hong Kong, China.
Germany and Jamaica have one win each, and can punch their tickets to the play-in round with wins against Kenya and New Zealand, respectively, on Tuesday. Germany took care of Chinese Taipei for its first win on Monday.
The foul Pool A teams all have a bye to the quarterfinals, and seeding among the heavyweights is taking shape after Canada’s win against Australia to move both teams to 1-1. All four teams are in action tomorrow.
