Great Britain automatically qualified for the World Games 2025 with a top-four finish in women’s sixes at the World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama. The team finished fourth overall after falling to Australia in the bronze medal game.
At The World Games 2022, Great Britain went 2-1 in pool play to place second in Pool B and advance to the semifinals. In the semifinals, Great Britain lost to the United States 21-5, setting up the bronze medal matchup with Australia. In the 13-7 loss, Laura Merrifield led the team with two goals and an assist.



In 2023, Great Britain won the women’s competition at Super Sixes in Hong Kong, China on New Year’s Eve, finishing undefeated. The team opened with a 22-5 win over the Czechia in the semifinals before defeating Germany 17-6 in the gold medal game.
In 2024, several athletes competed for Team England in the World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship, also held in Hong Kong, China. England went 3-1 in pool play to finish second in its pool and ultimately landed in a sixth-place finish overall. England ended the tournament with a 5-2 record and notable wins over top-10 opponents Ireland and Italy.
Athletes also competed for England at the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s Box Championship in Utica, New York, as England finished in fifth. Attacker Katie Greenwood was a goalkeeper for Great Britain at The World Games 2022.

At the World Games 2025 in Chengdu, Great Britain will be in a pool with China, Canada and Japan. Pool play begins Thursday, Aug. 7. Great Britain opens against China at 2:30 p.m. China Standard Time.
