Great Britain won both the men’s and women’s competitions at Super Sixes – Hong Kong, China on Sunday, December 31, finishing undefeated in both events.
The women’s team started the day with a 22-5 win over the Czech Republic in a semifinal before dispatching Germany 17-6 in the gold medal game. Great Britain finished the women’s competition with a 4-0 record.
The men’s team held off Germany 17-13 in an exciting game to claim its gold medal, rounding out a 5-0 campaign.
Germany took home a silver medal in both competitions, followed by China, who impressed with two bronze medals in both the men’s and women’s events.
The China women’s team narrowly fell to Germany 11-10 in the semifinals and then held off the Czech Republic, 17-10, in the bronze medal game.
The China men’s team defeated the host, Hong Kong, China, 20-12, in the other bronze medal game. China finished 3-2 with two wins over FogoJapan as well.
