The 2025 Lexus PLL Championship Series is set for seven days of action from Feb. 11 to Feb. 17 at the St. James in Virginia, just outside of Washington, D.C in sixes, the format of lacrosse to be played at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
Here are eight of the biggest stars throughout the week of action.
Players to Watch
Marcus Holman, Boston Cannons
Holman is one of the offensive engines for the defending championships in the PLL Championship Series and tied for the lead in points at the series last year on the team. The trio of Holman, Matt Campbell and Asher Nolting are all dangerous attacking threats, and their chemistry will be one of the highlights of the sixes action in Virginia.
Ryan Conrad, Maryland Whipsnakes
The Whipsnakes have a strong midfield group full of athletes, and Ryan Conrad epitomizes that talent with his all-around game. While Matt Rambo is a former MVP in attack for the Whipsnakes, Conrad is one of those midfielders who just seems to be everywhere in sixes, and tallied the fifth most points at the series last year.
Liam Entenmann, New York Atlas
All four of the rosters have strong goalkeepers, but Entenmann will have a chance to back up his sensational rookie campaign in 2024, when he finished second in the league in save percentage, at the 2025 Championship Series where the shots will come thick and fast. With some of the best attackers in the game lining up on the other side, Entenmann’s heroics could help the Atlas make some noise.
Mac O’Keefe, Utah Archers
Ament helped spearhead the Archers attacking efforts as they claimed the 2024 PLL Championship and was one of the most productive pieces throughout their playoff run. O’ Keefe will look to translate the Archers’ defensive dominance from field into sixes by taking on a heavy volume of the scoring burden.
Charlotte North, Boston Guard
North is one of the faces of women’s lacrosse, and in the inaugural edition of the Women’s Lacrosse League, all eyes will be on the electric star in a format primed for her peerless stick skills to shine.
Izzy Scane, New York Charging
Scane leads a loaded roster full of familiar attacking faces, including six former Northwestern University Wildcats, sisters Emma and Meg Tyrell, and uber-productive attackers Kylie Ohlmiller and Emily Hawryschuk. The goals should be flowing in bunches for the Charging, and Scane, more often than not, is the player rippling the back of the net.
Ally Mastroianni, California Palms
Mastroianni should be the midfield maestro with her imprints all over the game for the Palms in the sixes format. The USA and University of North Carolina superstar will have a chance to take over games with her speed and motor for the Palms, and power the Palms into a deep run.
Megan Whittle, Maryland Charm
In a league stacked with young North American talent, Whittle has the stage to remind the world of her attacking prowess that she displayed at the University Maryland and for England. Whittle scored the second-most goals at the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship, and with teammates Alex Aust Holman and Aurora Cordingley, the Charm should have a savvy attacking trio as key ingredient in a winning recipe.
