Canada shuts out Wales in Pool B

Canada started its quest for the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship with a 19-0 shutout of Wales.

Canada balanced its attack throughout the night with 10 different players finding the back of the net. Lauren Black earned the player of the match honor with three goals and an assist.

Jami Macdonald collected two goals and two assists and Charlotte Hodgson recorded a goal and two assists.

Lauren Spence made four saves to preserve the shutout for Canada, who enjoyed a 32-7 advantage on shots on the night.

Canada is back in Pool B action against the Haudenosaunee in an exciting matchup on Saturday night at 8 p.m. HKT. Wales will look to get in the win column against Chinese Taipei, who impressed on day one against Korea, at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
