Israel raced away from the Haudenosaunee in a 7-4 win to take the bronze medal at the Nissin Foods 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship at Prince Chichibu Memorial Stadium in Tokyo on Sunday.

Israel claimed its first-ever medal at the women’s championship and posted its best finish in the event in its fourth appearance, previously finishing sixth twice.
The Haudenosaunee also secured their best finish in the championship in their fifth appearance, having finished as high as seventh in 2013.

Israel started hot to lead the Haudenosaunee 6-1 at halftime behind its trademark prowess on the draw control, winning five of the first seven draw controls. The Haudenosaunee made a late rally to cut the lead to three in the fourth quarter, but never could get closer to apply more pressure.
Sam Fisher stepped up for Israel with three goals to lead the attack and was named the player of the match, with four other players registering a goal each for the team.
Julie Krupnick and Orly Sedansk combined to make 10 saves on 14 shots faced at a 71% save percentage, a crucial factor in Israel’s defensive effort.
While Israel only took one more shot than the Haudenosaunee on the afternoon, Israel held the Haudenosaunee to a 17% shooting percentage in a stifling performance.
Paisley Cook scored twice for the Haudenosaunee. Paige Crandall made nine saves in defeat at a 56% save percentage to keep the Haudenosaunee in the game.
Jordyn Lipkin finished her six games for Israel as one of the most prolific attackers in the championship, racking up 19 goals and six assists for 25 points, the most in the championship heading into the gold medal game.
Racheli Levy-Smith also shined as an ace on the draw in Tokyo, winning 63 in six games, with five in the bronze medal match, to lead the entire tournament. Her 57% win percentage ranks fourth among players with 30 or more draw controls.
Fisher added 13 points over the course of the tournament. Both goalkeepers finished with a save percentage above 40%, with 26 saves total for Krupnick and 19 for Sedansk.
The Haudenosaunee were led by their star attacking trio through six games with 20 points for Avery Doran, 15 points for Sierra Cockerille and 13 points for Jalyn Jimerson.
Crandall made 51 saves, the most in the championship and nine more than the player with the second-most saves.
