LIMERICK, Ireland – Chinese Taipei has withdrawn from the World Lacrosse Men’s U21 Championship due to seven athletes being placed in COVID-19 protocols.
Chinese Taipei will forfeit its remaining games in pool play against Kenya and Poland. The pool play schedule has been updated, as well as the platinum bracket and platinum consolation bracket schedule, which will determine 13th through 22nd place. Chinese Taipei will finish 23rd.
Both pool play forfeits will count as 1-0 victories for the opposing teams. Winning percentage will continue to determine seeding in Pool D, and the first tiebreaker will be average goal differential, excluding forfeits.
