Super Sixes – Canada set for three-day men’s and women’s competitions in Oshawa

Canada and the Haudenosaunee at The Atlas Cup via USA Lacrosse

Lacrosse Canada is set to host Super Sixes for the third year in a row with three days of men’s and women’s sixes competition at the Oshawa Civic Fields in Canada from October 10 to 12.

Ten teams are in the men’s competition and eight teams are in the women’s competition. Live statistics throughout the weekend will provided by Pointbench, with the schedules and rosters currently available for the men’s competition here and the women’s competition here.

Teams will battle in pool play on Friday and Saturday, with the women’s semifinals set for Saturday evening. The men’s semifinals and both medal rounds will be on Sunday. The semifinals and medal rounds will be streamed for free on WL TV.

Both competitions boast teams from three different continental federations as members ramp up their preparations for sixes, the discipline of lacrosse competed at The Olympic Games in 2028 in Los Angeles. The World Lacrosse calendar in 2026 will feature continental sixes championships that will also serve as qualifiers ahead of the 2027 World Lacrosse Sixes Championships.

The men’s competition features five teams from the Pan-American Lacrosse Association in Canada, Haudenosaunee, Mexico, United States and the U.S. Virgin Islands, four teams from Europe in Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Poland and as well as Australia from the Asia-Pacific Lacrosse Union.

Canada is the top-ranked team in men’s sixes after winning gold at The World Games in 2022, and backed itself up with a win over the rival United States just two weeks ago in Maryland at The Atlas Cup. Great Britain leads the returning cast of teams from The World Games 2022 with a fourth-place finish three year ago, with Germany, Australia and the Haudenosaunee all represented.

Great Britain also won the EuroLax Sixes Cup in its last appearance in 2024, defeating a team from Germany in the final.

Both Mexico and U.S. Virgin Islands appeared at the PALA Sixes Cup in 2023, with Mexico taking second.

Australia is ranked fourth in men’s field while Ireland is ranked 12th, finishing in fourth at the most recent European Men’s Lacrosse Championship in 2025. Poland finished in 15th on home soil.

The women’s competition features two squads from Canada as well as PALA counterparts Dominican Republic, Haudenosaunee and Mexico. Germany, Ireland and Australia round out the octet.

Canada leads the field with a silver medal at The World Games 2025 in August in China, with Australia taking third, and Ireland also appearing after winning the European Sixes Qualifier in March, when Germany finished fourth.

The Haudenosaunee appeared alongside Canada at The Atlas Cup two weeks ago and also won the PALA Sixes Cup in 2023 against a field that included Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
