Colorado Springs, Colo., USA (May 29, 2019) – The World Lacrosse 2019 Men’s Indoor World Championship scheduled for Langley, British Columbia, Canada, September 19-28, 2019, has announced its Schedule of Events, Draws and Pool assignments.
The 20-team tournament is seeded with four pools of five teams. Based on results from the 2015 Indoor World Championship, the top five teams in the BLUE division are: (1) Canada, (2) Iroquois Nationals, (3) USA, (4) Israel, and (5) England.
The second pool YELLOW division includes: (6) Ireland, (11) Serbia, (12) Switzerland, (17) The Netherlands and (18) Hong Kong.
The third pool GREEN division includes: (7) Czech Republic, (10) Germany, (13) Slovakia, (16) Scotland, and (19) Mexico.
The fourth pool ORANGE division includes: (8) Australia, (9) Finland, (14) Sweden, (15) Austria, and (20) Costa Rica.
“The World Lacrosse 2019 Men’s Indoor World Championship is one of World Lacrosse’s premier events,” said the organization’s CEO Jim Scherr. “The tournament will be highlighted by four competitive divisions in a format that provides opportunities for all teams. And, the strength of the spectator base in western Canada for this style of game should provide a great backdrop for this event.”
The event will be held in Langley, British Columbia, a suburb of Vancouver, one of Canada’s largest cities. The events will be held at the Langley Events Centre.

There are 4 Pools, with the Blue Pool being the top division (based on results from 2015), and then the Yellow, Green and Orange Pools having been circle-seeded, based on teams eligible for the Championship, and geographic diversity.
After round robin pool play, 8 teams will qualify for the Championship Bracket, determined by:
- The five teams in the Blue Pool, plus
- The top team in the Yellow, Green and Orange Pools
All teams shall compete for places 1-8. The remaining teams, after Pool play, will be seeded from 9 to 20 based upon final pool results, and compete in the Placement Bracket for places 9-20. In the case of a tie at the end of Pool play the World Lacrosse Goal Differential Formula shall be applied.
