Mexico rolls to second win at Men’s U20 Championship against Israel

Mexico impressed again against Israel for its second win at the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship by a 13-2 score on Sunday in Seogwipo, Korea.

Mexico started fast with a 6-0 lead in the Jeju heat and controlled proceedings from there, finishing with a 35-21 advantage on shots and a 20-11 advantage on shots on goal, keyed by a 15 of 19 day on face-offs by Ricardo Tinocco.

Mexico improved to 2-0 in Pool D to set itself up for a spot in the play-in round, awarded to the top two finishers in Pools B through E.

Mexico has coasted to a 25-6 combined score over two games, with strong play on both sides of the ball against Israel and China.

On Sunday, Ezekiel Peraza flashed his talent in front of goal again with four scores and an assist. Hershel Griffin added a hat trick.

Goalkeeper Weston Guerra impressed with nine saves on 11 shots faced.

Eyvatar Bahar made seven saves for Israel.

Mexico will face Ireland in a battle for the top spot in Pool D on Monday, while Israel takes on China on Tuesday.
