Great Britain completed a perfect first half, shutting out China 15-0, and wasted no time in building its lead with an aggressive defensive approach.

“I think it was a good opportunity to get lots of touches and lots of confidence throughout the team,” said Lottie Robertson of Great Britain. “It was an opportunity to play through our plays, get used to the heat and play with intensity as we move forward.”

Great Britain outshot China on the day 38-6.

Eight different players scored for Great Britain, and Robertson led the pack with eight points on five goals and three assists. Liv Wimpenny and Emma Savage finished with hat tricks as well.

Everything for us is about the intensity, the decision-making, the execution and never giving up out there. It’s a really fast game. We have to play our game, not let anyone else dictate it, play with confidence, and just play GB lacrosse.
