The World Games is a multi-sport event hosted quadrennially across the globe with thousands of athletes in attendance. Lacrosse was first a participant in the world games in 2017, with women’s field lacrosse competing in 10 v. 10 action in Wroclaw, Poland. In 2022, men’s and women’s lacrosse participated in The World Games in Birmingham, Alabama in the United States with the global debut of sixes, the shorter, faster-paced version of the sport that was launched in 2020.
