Eight of the ten winners on day three at the 2025 European Men’s Lacrosse Championship in Wroclaw stayed undefeated with Czechia, Germany, England, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia and Switzerland positioning themselves well to compete for the playoffs.
Slovakia also earned its second win in three games, while Croatia picked up its first win.
With two days left in pool play, two of the five pools still have two undefeated teams vying for the top spot, with drama set up for spots in the play-in round elsewhere.

The top seven teams in the tournament will qualify for the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in Japan.
The top four teams in pool play will advance directly to the quarterfinals while the fifth through 12th best teams will enter the play-in round for the final four spots in the quarterfinals.

Italy knocked off a previously unbeaten France team with a resounding 15-9 win.
France tied the game at 5-5 in the second quarter, but Italy seized control with three goals before halftime and then five unanswered goals in a crucial third period.
John Piatelli flashed his star power again with four goals and an assist while Ryan Bell catalyzed the attack with two goals and five assists.
Michael Dominick Ippoliti made eight saves, and the goalkeeper scored a rare effort himself early in the second quarter.
Italy improved to 2-0 and took pole position in Pool D ahead of France and Slovakia at 2-1.

Latvia consolidated on its opening win with a 12-6 takedown of Finland to stay undefeated at the championship.
Latvia scored eight goals in a row across the first three quarters with two goals from Gints Gutmanis and Andris Doktors to pull away from the Finns.
Vinsents Faciponti added three points and goalkeeper Ryan Richters made seven saves in the first three quarters.
Alex Kiviniemi scored three for Finland in defeat.
Latvia is now tied with England at 2-0 in Pool A ahead of a head-to-head matchup on Sunday.

Ireland stayed hot with an 11-2 win over Wales to take command of Pool C.
Ireland scored three goals at the end of the second quarter to lead 6-2, and saw out the rest of the game comfortably with a 5-0 second half, including a hat trick from Conor Foley.
Foley finished with five goals and goalkeeper Joe Walsh made eight saves, including five in a decisive second quarter.
Aaron Davy made 13 saves for Wales.
Ireland is 2-0 in the four-team Pool C with a matchup against Sweden remaining, while Wales is tied with Croatia at 1-1.

Slovakia shut the lid on Denmark in a 9-3 win, its second of the championship.
Slovakia raced out of the game with a 7-0 lead in 22 minutes and expertly managed the rest of the game.
Griffin Schutz scored four of the game’s first seven goals and finished with five goals and an assist. David Gudman made eight saves.
Slovakia is tied with France at 2-1 in Pool D, but fell to France earlier and faces undefeated Italy in its pool finale.

Switzerland improved to 2-0 by racing past Norway, 11-3.
Switzerland kept Norway scoreless in the second quarter and then put three past Norway in quick succession to start the third.
Louis Seftel tallied four goals and an assist while Till Schutze also added an hat trick. Andre Bremgartner made six saves and the Swiss defense forced Norway into just nine shots on goal out of 22 shots total.
Switzerland is tied with Israel at 2-0 in Pool E, with a meeting set for Sunday.

Croatia collected its first win in Wroclaw, defeating Sweden 11-3.
Croatia led 6-0 at halftime and Domic Marin Petar opened the game on a personal 4-0 run to leave his stamp on the game early.
Gorup Ryan added two goals and two assists and Trgo Tomas made nine saves on 12 shots faced.
Richard Zeidlitz made 10 saves for Sweden.
Croatia is tied with Wales at 1-1 in Pool C, and the two teams are set for a crucial matchup on Monday for second place in the pool.

Israel powered past a stiff challenge from Scotland to win 11-6 and stay undefeated through two games.
Scotland trailed 4-3 with four minutes to go in the first half, but Matthew Balter goals on either side of halftime restored the Israel cushion.
Scotland got within three but Ryan Cohen finished a hat trick with just under 10 minutes to go to seal the game at 10-4.
Beau Chetner, Cohen and Balter all finished with three goals in the win for Israel.
Scotland goalkeeper Tobias Cleaver-Ross made 11 saves.
Israel is tied with Switzerland atop Pool E, with a deciding matchup set for Sunday.

England rolled to its second win in two days by cruising by the Netherlands, 16-4.
Six different players registered multi-goal outings for England, as Drew Bickerton and William Prescott recorded five points each.
Thomas Haitsma made eight saves for the Netherlands.
England is tied with Latvia in Pool A at 2-0 with the two teams scheduled to clash on Sunday.

Czechia improved to 2-0 and handled Spain for a 13-5 decision.
Six different players notched multiple goals for the Czechs, and Martin Pech and Lukas Kucera led the balanced effort with four points each.
Paul Alexandro Walter Diaz made eight saves for Spain in defeat.
Czechia is tied with Germany at 2-0 in Pool B and will face the Germans on Sunday.

Germany closed the day with a strong defensive effort to hold off Poland, 10-4, and improve to 2-0.
Germany scored the first six goals of the game and allowed just one Poland effort in the first half. Soren Spiegel ripped off a personal three-goal run in the first half and finished with four goals and two assists.
Marc Brandenburger supplied three assists and goalkeeper Mikhail Zinoviev made 11 saves to slow Poland.
Germany is 2-0 alongside Czechia in Pool B, with a highly anticipated matchup set for Sunday.
