Canada men best the United States to highlight day two at The Atlas Cup

Canada defeated the United States 23-18 in men’s sixes lacrosse on day two of The Atlas Cup in Sparks, Maryland to highlight the four-game slate of action.

The two programs had not met in men’s sixes since the gold medal game of The World Games 2022, and Canada kept the upper hand in the rivalry three years later. Jeff Teat powered his team with six goals and one assist. Canada as a team shot 62% on an efficient night. Highlights from the game can be found below.

The Haudenosaunee men picked up their first win over Puerto Rico, 25-13.

In the women’s competition, Canada held off the Haudenosaunee 13-6 while the United States coasted past Puerto Rico, 24-9. Both Canada and the United States improved to 2-0 ahead of a clash on the final day, a reprise of the gold medal game at The World Games 2025 in August in China.

The Atlas Cup will conclude on Sunday. Canada can win the men’s competition with a victory while the winner of the the United States vs. Canada in the women’s competition will take the title, with their matchup set for 10:30 a.m. ET.
