World Lacrosse member advisory regarding IIJL event

Lacrosse events organized by International Indoor Junior Lacrosse have no affiliation with World Lacrosse, which is the only designated international governing body for the sport as recognized by the International Olympic Committee.

The IIJL is not a member of World Lacrosse, and its events are not recognized or sanctioned by WL or any of its member National Governing Bodies. That includes the upcoming IIJL World Junior Lacrosse Championship in Saskatoon, Canada, and the IIJL World U18 Lacrosse Championship in Utica, USA.

World Lacrosse remains the only International Federation that can host recognized world championships in the sport of lacrosse.

WL members should take caution in participating in events that are not recognized or sanctioned by WL or one of its members. In addition, WL members are advised against accepting membership with other international lacrosse bodies; doing so may lead to revocation of their membership with WL.
