Quotables

United States’ Joey Spallina on his impactful four-goal performance in the win over the Haudenosaunee:
Being the youngest guy on the team, I’m not always going to be on the ball. So it’s … kind of getting in a spot where I’m able to catch the ball and shoot it, which I think is a strength of mine.
Germany’s Toni Garbe on playing (and winning) the first-ever game at a World Lacrosse Women’s Box Championship:
Being the first to ever do it, it’s an honor. And it was a lot of fun.
Puerto Rico head coach Kyle Kallay on the team’s first appearance at a men’s box championship:
It’s amazing. Anytime that anyone has the opportunity to represent their heritage is a tremendous honor.
Canada’s Megan Kinna on the adjustment from field to box lacrosse:
With setting picks, you need to be really physical. You can’t really do hard picks in field; in box you have to be ready to really give it to them.
