Scotland defeats Jamaica on day eight

Scotland picked up its first win of the women’s U20 championship in Hong Kong, China with a 19-4 victory over Jamaica on Thursday.

Scotland’s 6-2 second quarter was key in the win.

Carys Bucknall led the way with five goals and an assist while Robyn MacDonald scored five goals and added 11 draw control wins.

The player of the match honor, however, went to Jamaica’s goalkeeper Gabriella Henry, who made 11 saves throughout four quarters in another impressive showing.

Krisandra Ford made four saves in the fourth quarter for Jamaica as well and Mikayala Mitchell finished the game with a hat trick.

Scotland will play its final game on Friday at 2 p.m. HKT while Jamaica will play at 11:30 a.m.
