Haudenosaunee race past Hong Kong, China in 13-3 win

The Haudenosaunee advanced to the quarterfinals on day seven of the 2023 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship with a dominant 13-3 win over Hong Kong, China.

Hong Kong scored the first goal of the game, but the Haudenosaunee answered with a 10-0 run.

Austin Staats was the star of the show for the Haudenosaunee, finishing with four goals and three assists. His 24 points in the championship is the second best individual total.

Brooker Muir was 13-20 on face-offs for the Haudenosaunee and Larson Sundown added three goals.

Evan Mok-Lamme scored two goals for Hong Kong.

The third-seeded Haudenosaunee will face the sixth seed Japan tomorrow in one of the most anticipated matches of the championship at SDSU Sports Deck at 1 p.m. PT.
