Germany earned a win in its final game of the 2024 World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship over Jamaica by a 16-3 scoreline on Friday at Shek Kip Mei Sports Park.
Germany finished in 19th place while Jamaica finished in 20th place.
Macy Zeilman led Germany’s attack on the day with six goals. Nele Schmuck added two goals and three assists and was named the player of the match.
Carlotte Gerke added two goals and two assists while Emma Kardos scored two. Paige Gerlach went nine of 11 on draw controls and Tabea Uhling went six of seven.
Krisandra Ford made six saves for Jamaica. Arianna West scored two goals.
Over the course of the championship, Zeilman, Schmuck and Gerke paced the Germany attack, each finishing with over 10 points. Zeilman had 13 goals and two assists in six games. Gerlach finished with an impressive 24 of 36 win rate on draws and three caused turnovers.
Both goalkeepers were strong in net for Jamaica, with Gabriella Henry making 40 saves in five games and Krisandra Ford making 32 saves.
Makalya Mitchell led the attack with nine goals and Arianna West scored five.
