Michael Mawson of Vermont News and Media attended the Albany FireWolves’s 2024-25 NLL season opener in November and shared his thoughts on the experience in the Manchester Journal.
Saturday night was my first-ever professional box lacrosse game. It won’t be my last. If you’re a fan of sport, I implore you to make the less than an hour drive and catch an Albany FireWolves game inside MVP Arena.
Members of the National Lacrosse League, you get to witness the best players in the world face one another in an action-packed 60 minutes. Players that will be representing their countries in the Los Angeles Games in 2028 when lacrosse once again becomes an Olympic sport.
Saturday’s season-opener against the Saskatchewan Rush had it all – highlight-reel passing, thrilling goals and extraordinary goalie play.
