We at the CLA are very fortunate to have an experienced and dedicated volunteer host committee led by Cliff Pascas in the beautiful province of British Columbia. This is the same host committee that delivered a highly successful 2008 U19 World Championships in Coquitlam, B.C., and we are excited to be given the opportunity to build on that successful event in 2016. Canada will field a very proud and talented U19 team in Finland this summer and to know that our next generation of U19 Team Canada will play on home soil is incredible. On behalf of all its member associations across Canada, I’d like to thank FIL for granting this event to Canada and we look forward to welcoming all participants to Canada, the birthplace of lacrosse, to play Canada’s national summer sport.”
