The 2026 World Lacrosse Women’s Championship Division II concluded on Saturday after 42 games in eight days of action in Wroclaw, Poland with Italy taking home the gold medal in the first-ever edition of a World Lacrosse Division II championship.
Italy knocked off a previously unbeaten Mexico, 11-4, in the gold medal game, with a stifling defensive performance to reverse a three-goal win for Mexico in pool play.
In the bronze medal game, New Zealand defeated Korea, 8-7, by withstanding a three-goal comeback attempt from Korea late in the game.
Hong Kong, China rounded out the top five with a dramatic win over Spain, while the host Poland closed out its campaign with a win to finish seventh.
