The Pan-American Lacrosse Association (PALA) is pleased to announce the 2026 Pan-American Men’s Lacrosse Championship will be hosted by the Jamaica Lacrosse Association in Kingston, Jamaica at the historic campus of the Mico University College and Stadium East. The competition will run from August 16-23, 2026.

The international men’s lacrosse tournament will feature an expected 12 national teams from the Pan-American region and will serve to qualify five teams from the Pan-American region for the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship in Japan. An additional four teams will earn qualification for the WL Men’s Championship Division II .

This event represents an important milestone on the road to the 2027 World Lacrosse Men’s Championship and will showcase the incredible growth and talent of men’s lacrosse athletes across the Pan-American region.”

Founded in 2018, the Pan-American Lacrosse Association is a 501C3 non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the sport of lacrosse in the Pan-American region and is the World Lacrosse-recognized Continental Federation for the Pan-American region. The Pan-American Lacrosse Association covers North, Central and South America, and the Caribbean and currently includes 22 member nations. The mission of PALA is to promote and develop the sport of lacrosse across its region, maintain communication between PALA nations to share best practices for development and resources, promote and encourage the exchange and development of sports camaraderie among PALA nations, and facilitate and organize PALA sanctioned competitions for PALA nations. PALA conducts regional qualifying events for World Lacrosse competitions, in addition to the PALA Sixes Cup.
The Jamaica Lacrosse Association (JLA) is the national governing body for lacrosse in Jamaica, dedicated to growing the sport through grassroots programs, high school initiatives, and competitive national teams. The JLA focuses on cultivating talent, fostering sportsmanship, and increasing opportunities for both male and female players of all ages. The association aims to make the sport accessible across the island and has achieved significant international success, competing in World Championships and preparing for potential inclusion in the Olympics.
