Fourteen teams settled into their final rankings after placement play at the 2025 World Lacrosse Men’s U20 Championship on Saturday, with a slate full of hotly contested games and exciting finishes on day nine on Jeju Island in Korea.
Japan claimed the best finish in fifth place by shutting down Puerto Rico, although the Japanese needed a late goal to seal the deal.
England and Israel both made crucial stops in the last minute to defeat Jamaica and Korea, respectively. Ireland, Germany and Hong Kong, China had more gas in the tank with superior fourth quarters against Mexico, the Netherlands and Chinese Taipei.
All but the top four teams in the medal round have now completed their campaigns in Korea, with the final standings available here.
The final day of action features two blockbuster affairs in the medal round, with Australia facing the Haudenosaunee for bronze at 10 a.m. local time, followed by the United States meeting Canada for the gold at 1 p.m.
