Continental Federation and NGB Grant Program

As part of World Lacrosse’s on-going efforts to provide world-class support to existing and future Continental Federations and sixty-five current member National Governing Bodies, we are pleased to offer two new grant programs. The Continental Federation and National Governing Body Grants are an opportunity to obtain resources from World Lacrosse to aid in the development of the sport within their region.
Applications may be submitted for:

The CF and NGB Grants will be available for activities and/or projects that accomplish one or more of the following:

  • Organizational Development – activities/projects that strengthen the operational capabilities of the organization.
  • Education and Training – measurable activities that further the development of coaches and/or officials to provide an improved athlete experience.
  • Athlete Development – measurable activities/programs that are designed to recruit, train, and retain grassroots level participants.
  • Miscellaneous – activities/programs that will benefit the development of the sport and have a measurable impact on participation growth.
Who can apply:

In order to be eligible for a grant, a documented member of the CF or NGB leadership structure (i.e. President, Development Officer, Secretary General, etc…) must submit the application. The applicant’s CF or NGB must be a member in good standing for a grant to be awarded.

Submission Information:

Grant applications will be accepted beginning on March 1, 2020 and remain open until April 1, 2020. A second period of application will open on August 1, 2020 and close on September 1, 2020.   All applications will be reviewed by World Lacrosse Board Director of Development, Bob DeMarco and the World Lacrosse Development Committee Chair, Rick Mercurio.

All applications will be considered and a response will be provided. Further information may be requested during the review process to assist in the decision process. 

All successful applicants will be required to submit a final report detailing the results of their proposal. A template will be provided to the applicant where appropriate.
