Canada made history at The World Games 2022 in Birmingham, Alabama, winning its first senior world-level gold medal in a women’s competition.
With a top four finish in women’s sixes at The World Games 2022, Canada earned an automatic bid for The World Games 2025.
In 2022, Canada completed a perfect tournament, going 3-0 in pool play with wins over Great Britain, Israel and Haudenosaunee. In the semifinals, the defense locked down Australia in a 12-7 victory, holding Australia scoreless in both the second and fourth quarters behind a 13-save performance from goalkeeper Lauren Spence.
Canada clinched the gold medal with a memorable 14-12 win over the United States. Dana Dobbie scored four goals, while Aurora Cordingley added a goal and three assists. Erica Evans scored the go-ahead goal, her third of the game, to break a 12-12 tie in the fourth quarter. Spence sealed the win, holding the United States scoreless for the final seven minutes, finishing with 13 saves and a 52% save percentage.




In 2024, the women’s U20 team earned a silver medal at the World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship in Hong Kong, China. Jami Macdonald and Avery Morton were named to the World Team after standout performances. The women’s box team also claimed a silver medal at the 2024 World Lacrosse Box Championships and landed three players on the World Team in Erica Evans, Megan Kinna and Jordan Dean.


Canada will be in a pool in Chengdu alongside Japan, China and Great Britain. Competition begins Thursday, Aug. 7, with Canada opening pool play against Japan.
