Cascade Maverik Lacrosse Announced as Partners for the 2018 FIL World Championships in Israel

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASENETANYA, ISRAEL – The Israel Lacrosse Association, hosts of the 2018 FIL Men’s World Lacrosse Championships, has announced Cascade Lacrosse as the Official Helmet of 2018 FIL World Championships and Maverik Lacrosse as a Social Responsibility Partner of the tournament.

“The Cascade Maverik team is excited to extend and continue our commitment to lacrosse on the global stage,” said Vice President and General Manager at Cascade Maverik LLC Roland LaRose. “We’re proud of our partnership with the 2018 FIL World Championships, which helps facilitate opportunities for lacrosse players around the world to compete in a world-class tournament while expanding awareness of our sport.”

Team Israel will don Cascade Lacrosse S helmets as the hosts push for its first medal at a World Championship, and Cascade will provide additional helmets to be worn by all ball boys and select festival team players. The Cascade S helmet incorporates several new, game-changing helmet technologies, including a new tri-liner integrated with the shell, new Xflo ventilation that more than doubles the breathability of previous helmets models, and a new Vision bar facemask that ensures the ball is never out of sight. Since 1986 Cascade has been the top manufacturer of lacrosse head protection for male and female athletes at all levels of the sport, building and delivering high performance game-changing headgear, manufactured in the USA.

“This partnership enables our national team players to be outfitted with best-in-class protective helmets,” said Team Israel General Manager Brad MacArthur. “Partnering with a global lacrosse brand on the field like Cascade is truly exciting as we continue to build up our efforts toward the 2018 World Lacrosse Championships in Netanya. Their commitment to grass roots development is inspiring as organizationally we spend a majority of our time and efforts in that area, growing the game on an international scale.”

As a Social Responsibility Partner, Maverik will provide sticks in support of “Sticks for Kids”, a partner of the Israel Lacrosse Association, which utilizes the sport of lacrosse to engage and empower at-risk youth throughout Israel’s periphery, furthering the brand’s mission for the sport’s growth and a brighter future for the world.

The sticks will go a long way in spreading the game and providing a relief for underprivileged youth.

“We are excited to use the sticks from Maverik to introduce the sport of lacrosse to thousands of Israeli youth through life skills lacrosse clinics at schools and after-school programs on the periphery,” said David Lasday, COO of Israel Lacrosse.
