World Lacrosse Pays Tribute to Steve Stenersen as He Announces His Intention to Depart Us Lacrosse as CEO in 2021

Throughout his distinguished career as the builder and leader of US Lacrosse, Steve
Stenersen has been guided by an unwavering commitment to always do what is in the
best interest of the game and those who are fortunate enough to play it.
With the support of his Board of Directors and the talented team he leads at US Lacrosse,
Steve has built a National Governing Body that is a model for American sport. He
recognizes the unmatched power of sport to transform lives and has dedicated his career
to making certain young people across America, and well beyond, have the opportunity
to better their lives through lacrosse.
Though he will be stepping away from his post as Chief Executive Officer of US Lacrosse
later this year, Steve’s remarkable tenure will continue to be defined not only by the
phenomenal growth of lacrosse in America and the success of US teams internationally,
but by his commitment to always act with integrity, honor and courage while serving the
game he loves.
On behalf of World Lacrosse and our member-National Governing Bodies and
Continental Federations around the globe, we offer our heartfelt thanks and appreciation
to Steve for his lasting contributions to the game.
